We are now starting to run some clinical sessions from our branch surgery at Ryecroft, although please note that our reception team continue to work solely from Silverdale at present. Many appointments are intially by telephone, but an increasing number of patients are seen face to face in surgery.
How do I register for patient access?
You will need to register for Patient Access either online, if your practice allow this, or by asking for a registration letter from your practice. When you register online and next attend at the practice, or attend to request a registration letter, you must take photo ID so your identity can be verified.
When will the reception desk re-open at Ryecroft?
From January 2022 we plan to re-open the reception desk at Ryecroft each weekday morning. In the meantime, Silverdale Surgery remains fully open as usual. Our staff are all doing their very best to help you - Please continue to respect them during these challenging times.

Welcome to Silverdale & Ryecroft Practice
We are a dedicated team providing NHS general practice care to our patient list of over 12,300 patients in Newcastle-under-Lyme. We work from two sites: our main surgery in the village of Silverdale and our branch surgery at Ryecroft in central Newcastle. We also provide the medical care to the residents of two large local nursing homes.

We now have an experienced physio working in the practice who is the first point of contact for all musculoskeletal problems.
Flu Jabs Autumn 2021
Flu vaccination clinics for the 2021/2022 season are now almost complete at both Silverdale and Ryecroft.
Covid Booster Jabs
We are now giving Covid booster jabs. Anyone aged 18 years or over whose 2nd Covid jab was more than 3 months (or 91 days) ago is eligible for a booster. Once you become eligible please contact the surgery or call 119 to book in for your booster.
