What is patient access and how do I use it?

If your GP practice supports Patient Access you will have access to the following features where they are able to provide them: Book face-to-face, video or remote appointments with your GP or other healthcare practitioners at your GP practice. Request repeat prescriptions via a nominated pharmacy. Send messages to your GP practice.

What is in partnership with patient access?

In partnership with Patient Access connects you to local health services when you need them most. Book GP appointments, order repeat prescriptions and discover local health services for you or your family via your mobile or home computer.

Can I request repeat medication through patient access?

These items should not be requested through Patient Access. If you would like to request repeat medication, follow the steps below. S elect New request from the Medication requests section of the homepage. S elect Repeat Medication from the dashboard, then Request medication.

Can I share an email address on patient access?

Unfortunately, it is also no longer possible to share an email address on Patient Access. This is because we use the email address as a unique identifier to ensure the account security and confidentiality.

The PATIENT ACCESS logo, PATIENT ACCESS, and PATIENT are all registered trademarks, which are either owned by, or are licensed to, EMIS.
