What is patient access?

Patient Access is the On Line Service that our patients (aged 18 and over) can use to manage their appointments, order repeat prescriptions, change addresses and/or telephone numbers and view their medical record. Patient Access is a web site that connects to the practice clinical system where patient records are stored.

What documents are needed to access a patient's medical record?

They will be required to supply two documents as proof of identity. Documents accepted for this will be a passport, photo driving licence and a bank or building society statement . Current utility bills will not be accepted.

How old do you have to be to get a prescription for a repeat appointment?

We are following the recommendations of the RCGP, BMA and MDU by providing limited access to patients under 18 years (for repeat medication and appointment booking only) whilst more consideration is given to this matter.

We will continue with a range of infection control measures including Social Distancing in the waiting room and around the premises, the use of the intercom at the front door, increased cleaning regimes and hand-gel stations throughout the building.

Is a call recorded at a dispensary?
