What is the reception at Dalblair?
Our friendly reception staff is an integral part of the whole Dalblair Veterinary Surgery team and as the first point of contact either on the phone or at the reception desk provides a welcoming and informative service.
What animals does Dalblair handle?
I've been a client of Dalblair for most of my life, and they've dealt with hamsters, rats, budgies, and dogs for me. They've always been amazing with us through the good times and the bad times, and because of this I wouldn't go to any other vet surgery.
Where is the Ayr surgery?
Our main surgery is well situated in Ayr town centre with our own sizeable car park. There is wheelchair access into the surgery and consulting rooms. Internally we have two separate operating theatres, the larger of which is used for the more sterile internal and orthopaedic surgical cases.
Does laser therapy help Murphy?
The laser therapy has made such a difference to Murphy and we would highly recommend this treatment. The vets at Dalblair Surgery have been so supportive and we thank them for their ongoing care and guidance.
Is Dalblair vets good?
Dalblair vets are fantastic. All the staff I've dealt with have been great, especially Stuart and Linsay. Definitely feel this vets surgery has my dog's best interests at heart. Would highly recommend using them for your pets.

What is Patient Access?
Patient Access is a service provided by EMIS (our clinical system) that allows you to access your practice online. Patient Access allows you to: • Book and cancel appointments. • Order repeat medication.
How do I order a repeat prescription?
There is a link called Make a request in the Repeat Prescriptions section of the home page after you have signed into Patient Access.

How to receive email confirmation of appointment?
To receive email confirmations or text updates, ensure the correct email and phone number are entered prior to confirming the appointment. In Appointments, select Schedule new to schedule a new appointment. Select an appointment option. Select Instant virtual appointments to seek immediate care with a care provider.
How to update profile in patient access?
The patient updates their profile and account information, and then selects Update. To update a profile at any time, or to sign out, select the user menu to view the profile and account information.
What can a patient view in a medical record?
A patient can select Medical records to view their medications, allergies, conditions, visit summaries, care plans, and care teams.
What is an inbox patient?
A patient selects Messages to use an an email app in Patient access. Inbox is a list of emails received from care providers.
What is the personal step in a patient?
In the Personal step, the patient can view and update their personal information prior to the visit.
What are the minor surgical procedures performed at Ayrshire and Arran?
All of the doctors are accredited by NHS Ayrshire & Arran to carry out minor surgical procedures.These include removal of cysts and moles, joint injections and cautery. These and other minor surgical procedures are fitted in at times to suit patients.
Who is in charge of the day to day running of the practice?
