What is patient access and how do I use it?

If your GP practice supports Patient Access you will have access to the following features where they are able to provide them: Book face-to-face, video or remote appointments with your GP or other healthcare practitioners at your GP practice. Request repeat prescriptions via a nominated pharmacy. Send messages to your GP practice.

What happens to my Patient Access Account when I move practice?

If you move practice, your old practice will close your Patient Access account in their clinical system, however, the account details are still held on the Patient Access website. The account will be restricted, as you are no longer linked to a practice, but you can still access the account and link to your new practice.

You can reset your Memorable Word by clicking Forgot my Memorable word on the sign in screen once you have successfully entered your password. T his will take you to a different screen that allows you to update your Memorable Word and hint.

Account locked

If you enter an incorrect password 8 times, your account will automatically be locked for 1 hour. If you typed the password incorrectly, wait 1 hour then try again. If you have forgotten your password, select Forgotten Password .

Why do doctors close their practice?

Does EVS provide eligibility information?

EVS does not provide eligibility information when a provider attempts to verify eligibility using a lost or stolen ACCESS card. EVS will return the response "The ACCESS card is invalid". If the old card is found or returned after a new card is obtained, the old card should be destroyed by the recipient, as it is no longer usable.
