Patient car parking is available at the front and side of the Health Centre. Parking to the rear of the Health Centre is for staff use.

Parking for disabled patients is outside the main entrance. There are free car parking spaces outside the Health Centre and on Ferry Road.
What is a range of clinicians?
A range of clinicians, including doctors, nurses and sometimes pharmacists and physiotherapists to help you with both mental and physical health issues.

Renfrew Health & Social Work Centre is situated on Ferry Road in Renfrew.
Can you book an appointment for a midwife?
You will not be able to book an appointment for the nurse, health visitor, or midwife using the online system at this stage. Likewise, annual review clinic appointments (e.g. diabetes, asthma etc) should be booked by phone to ensure the correct length of appointment is arranged with the appropriate nurse.
Is the NHS legally obliged to keep information confidential?
Everyone working with the NHS has a legal duty to keep information about you confidential and adheres to a Code of Practice on protecting patient confidentiality. Anyone receiving information from us is also legally obliged to keep it confidential.
Where is ramp access in the hospital?
Ramp access is available at the front of the building and there is also disabled access within the patient toilet. If assistance is required please ask at reception. Hearing Loop is available on request.
Does a GP practice administer flu jabs?
From now on, GP practices will not administer the Flu jab. Across Scotland, Health and Social Care Partnerships are taking on this role in line with the GP Contract agreed by BMA Scotland on behalf of Scottish GPs. This change has been agreed to relieve pressure on GP practices. As a result your local practice will not offer any flu vaccinations or handle any booking queries for people in eligible groups.
How long can a GP give a repeat prescription?
All GP practices have been instructed by the Health Board NOT to issue repeat prescriptions unless they are due, and not to issue any more than 2 months supply at a time. This is to ensure that pharmacies are able to keep enough stock for all patients.
When will surgery collections be available?
Requests which are received before 4pm will not be available for collection from the surgery until after 1.30 pm the following working day. If a special request is received after 4pm it will not be available for collection until after 1.30pm in 2 working days.

Health visitors are involved in the healthcare of patients, particularly children, expectant mothers, the elderly and physically handicapped. You may contact them directly on 0141 207 7457.
